Use the WPA2-AES encryption algorithm. If connection problems are detected on some devices, the WPA / WPA2 - TKIP / AES algorithm can also be applied.
Use a secure password, 12-16 characters long; that doesn't make sense. Always change the default passwords for modems/routers.
Change the username/password combination required to access the modem/router admin panel.
Disable the WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) function to quickly connect two devices on the same wireless network. It's useful but has vulnerabilities that allow attackers to "pierce" the network.
